She comes from DEVA where all the residents are humans whose minds have been transferred into the VR world that is DEVA. No one has a physical body; her character is sent on a mission into the real world having her mind transferred into a cloned body and goes through a major arc in character development, which is the question, "What does it mean to be human?" For those who don't know, it was announced recently it's getting a sequel, which is why this showed up in my feed.

I was gon a join the military after high school. My great grandfather, my great uncle, and my dad were soldiers. My family has fought in every major US war. I wanted to join their legacy. My great grandfather died when I was 8. He told me he wanted me to go to college. I took the ASVAB and got a great score. I could essentially pick what I wanted to do - at least, that's what the recruiter said. My dad pulled me to the side. He was a soldier himself. His country preyed on his patriotism. It chewed him up and spit him out. He wont admit it, but I know he feels resentment for it. He told me "look, if you go to the military, I'll completely support you and I'll be so proud, but Im gonna tell ya what your great grandfather told ya: go to college. Get a degree, be the first in our family to get a degree, and Ill be so much prouder". I had my great uncle show up, my cousin (who had been deployed a couple years prior), and many other ex soldiers encourage me to pursue college. It was a complete 180 from what I had heard from others before. Now here's all these folks who actually care about me telling me to do something else. I went to college, but I have a TON of respect for our troops. The sacrifices they make cannot be understated.

There are no words to describe how utterly disappointing it was to hear how the fiancé stopped it, only for them to yell at her and try to hush the situation. They are both monsters of their own creation and there is a special place in hell for them, one completely devoid of love and warmth.

My mom died a few weeks before I graduated ninth grade. At the end of the year, the students would get together and be presented with awards for best grades, best sports, whatever. At the end of the ceremony, when it seemed like it was over, they called me in front of the entire ninth grade and presented me with this huge Stanley Cup looking thing for “overcoming adversity.” Thanks Jr High!

I was in an out of psychiatric hospitals for about two years. Kids were constantly beating up staff or each other, screaming at obscene hours of the night when everyone is trying to asleep, or other things. I almost got killed in the hospital several times from kids stealing keys from staff and trying to charge at me with them angled at my neck. There was blood on something or someone almost constantly. And I don't mean splatters, it was pools on the floor or beds or chairs and clothing soaked in it. It was fucking awful. Some times in the hospital were fun, but others were miserable. I went in with psychosis and PTSD and instead of it helping my issues it made them worse and now I have PTSD from the shit I saw in there. There were barely any staff and when one kid was acting up and needed to get restrained it would cause a chain reaction making the other kids need to intervene with other kids.

I've been fascinated by sleep paralysis ever since my brother experienced it decades ago, long before the internet made it well known. He started having awful night terrors and paralysis shortly after he began spending a lot of time at this girlfriend's super old house (it was literally one of the first houses to be built in our cities downtown). He claimed that an old lady would crawl on his chest, and stop him from breathing. She was often accompanied by a tall shadowy figure. A few years later I saw a documentary that described what my brother was experiencing, and it also described a phenomenon from the Canadian East Coast known as "The Hag". It's interesting that sleep paralysis is often associated with trauma, negative emotion, and the fact that these same hallucinations appear to so many people.

I used to play A LOT of video games with a lot of social interaction. There was always something special to those late night conversations on Skype or Steam voice chat (lol). I've had so many intimate conversations with people that I will never talk to again.

I just came back to this video after 3 years. Remember how I felt the first time, and was just as sucked into it this time. This video is fucking art.

My dad and mom served, and told me they will not allow me to serve in the army. I know why because one, they don’t want me to end up dead, and two although my dad or mom doesn’t really talk about it, from what they’ve said. It’s a nightmare, and I won’t let my kids join when I have them.

Them talking about sleep paralysis and ptsd was extremely relatable, it’s definitely something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, I constantly lucid dream so I constantly have nightmares and sleep paralysis, got really bad insomnia so I completely understand it’s so uncomfortable❤️ wish yous all the best stay safe and I hope you overcome it<3
